KCA University Western Campus- Kisumu is one of Western region’s leading business and technology universities. It is considered a premier anchor institution in the Lake Hub region and a home to thousands of students from far and beyond. The campus is currently located at Mega Plaza building (7th and 8th floor) along Oginga Odinga Street, which is at the heart of Kisumu one of the most vibrant and diverse cities in Kenya.
Facts & History
The institution first opened its doors to 30 students and 5 members of staff at Swan Centre (Oginga Odinga St, Kisumu CBD) in the year 2002, offering KASNEBS’s Certified Public Accountants (CPA) and Accounting Technician Certificate (ATC) courses along with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants courses.
The centre later introduced examinations by Association of Business Executives (ABE) and Institute for the Management of Information Systems (IMIS). In the year 2004, the campus partnered with Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology to offer its first undergraduate programmes in Commerce and Information Technology
Campus Achievements
Today, the centre is a fully accredited university campus, boasting of competitive courses, a diverse student body, staff and a distinguished faculty of innovative facilitators and mentors which includes recipients of prestigious national honours including KASNEB awards and Vice Chancellors commendations.
